What's the link between Tron and Daft Punk?

The answer: a lot. At this moment, our beloved French duo is working on the movie soundtrack for Tron, which will be released by Disney in 2010. Electromaze thinks it'll be a great movie - just because Daft will fill the theaters with new, stereo-bangin' stuff. At the Comic Con event, the movie was presented to the press (some low quality footage can be found on Youtube, if you happen to be interested). Around the booth, one of the tracks from Tron's soundtrack could be heared - a first peek at Daft Punk's new work.

Let's go straight to the important stuff: a reworked version of that song has appeared. A download link? Sure!

Electromaze is alive and sparkin'

The Maze got pulled out a little while, but it's back... for now. Today, Electromaze has a great artist for you: Tommy Sparks, a very nice guy from England. His own work is great, but Yuksek has made one of his tracks even more awesome. You just have to try these out:

Being a fan of the one and only Deadmau5, Electromaze just has to share this remix with you all. It's great, orgasmic and typical Deadmau5 stuff.

And there is even more, c'est-à-dire (yes, Electromaze knows his French!) the new track of Proxy, played by Tiga at the Belgian festival Rock Werchter and a new Vitallic piece, which can also be found on his new album. Enjoy!

Ready to get Electromaze'd?

Electro has evolved. What once was a genre that was associated with drugs and basement performances has become something that's embraced by a lot of people. Artists like Justice, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Tocadisco and Digitalism are the living proof of this evolution. Just take a look at a random festival line-up and you'll problably notice one of these electrogods. And the evolution is still continuing, thanks to all the adrenaline-pumping and beat-crushing remixes that are being made.

But what if you just take the best of those songs and remixes? What if you would throw them into one big, chaotic madness, like a maze? The beats keep on coming, but there's seemingly no way out. When you eventually stumble upon the exit, you'll notice that electro has some strange, but very satisfying effects, mentally and phsyically. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the philosophy behind this blog and Electromaze.

Electromaze will most likely push out the first track later this year (yes, there's clearly some ambition here!), but even now, it keeps on sucking people in its funky and thrilling maze. How? By sharing its favourite tracks and remixes of its favourite artists. Isn't that a nice preparation for your upcoming adventures in the Electromaze? :)

In a few weeks time, this blog will be officially launched. For those lucky bastards who've already found their way into the Electromaze: you'll get served soon enough. A little bit of patience might bring some justice...
